Regular Inspection and Maintenance

 

It is recommended that semi-trailers used for transporting powder and granular materials undergo maintenance every 20,000 kilometers or every 3 months. This includes checking fluid levels such as oil, brake fluid, and antifreeze, and replacing or adjusting them as needed. The air filter, fuel filter, and oil filter should also be replaced regularly to maintain optimal engine performance. Additionally, the pipeline filter should be cleaned every 3 months to ensure the cleanliness of the pipeline and prevent damage to the ABS system.

Maintenance of Key Components

 

Air Compressor: Maintenance should be performed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Gear meshing and wear should be checked annually, and the compressor should not be operated at excessive speeds. If any abnormal noise is detected during operation, the cause should be identified and resolved promptly. Regularly check the operation meter to ensure it is functioning properly and avoid over-speeding, which could damage the air compressor and power take-off (specific to powder tank vehicles). During unloading operations, the air compressor must be operated correctly. Adjust the operating mechanism handle and set the compressor speed to approximately 900 rpm to stabilize its performance.

 

Power Take-off: Regular checks of lubrication and operating conditions should be performed. If any unusual sounds are heard, the cause should be investigated and rectified. Gear meshing and wear should be checked annually, and the unit should not be operated at excessive speeds.

 

Air Circuit: Frequently inspect the sealing condition, and promptly address any leakage issues. Check the working condition of each valve; if any valve fails, it should be repaired or replaced. Ensure the safety valve opens at a pressure of 0.2 MPa, and the pressure in the tank must not exceed 0.2 MPa.

Special Equipment Maintenance

 

When welding the vehicle, the ABS power harness must be unplugged to avoid damaging the ECU. When installing the wheel, ensure the sensor is pushed fully down to guarantee proper clearance between the sensor and the gear ring. Take care during wheel hub installation to avoid rough handling. Regularly check the sensor connector for looseness. If replacement is needed, ensure the connector is inserted correctly. Verify that the air path and sensor correspond one-to-one, and ensure that the brake air pipe on the same side corresponds to the air outlet on the same side of the combination valve.
